Thirteen people shot outside of a nightclub in Arizona, awaiting a Nipsey Hussle performance.

CNN reports that thirteen people were shot outside an Arizona nightclub in Tempe late Friday Night. The club was supposed to see a performance by rapper, Nipsey Hussle.

Although no fatalities were reported, two people are in serious condition according to the police, and they are looking for two men who left the scene. Nipsey Hussle didn’t end up going on stage, and voiced his displeasure of the situation on Twitter, “Az….y’all gotta be cool man. This shit ain’t rite.”

Kanye West Designs Women's High-Heels With

Kanye’s women’s shoe will go on sale for $5,888.

Kanye West, who already has shoe design under his belt with his Nike Air Yeezy collection, is also foraying into women’s shoe design. He has designed a high-heel with the Italian designer, Giuseppe Zanotti.

These shoes first appeared in Kanye’s debut runway show during Paris Fashion Week, and will be sold exclusively at a boutique in Paris called Colette. The high-heels have intricate beading, and will go for $5,888.

Earlier this year, during one of Kanye’s twitter rants, he tweeted about learning shoe design with Zanotti,”I snuck [in] to Giuseppe Zanotti Factory still under contract and learned to design women’s shoes for 2 years before my first show in Paris.”

Diddy Speaks On His TV Network "Revolt"

Diddy speaks on his new TV network “Revolt.”

In expanding Diddy’s brand he’s announced his newest venture is television. We got word of his new TV network, “Revolt,” awhile back, and since making the official announcement himself, he’s elaborated on “Revolt.”

While Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs appeared on The Today Show he spoke on “Revolt,” saying that his TV network will play music others are afraid to play.

“I started my own new network. It’s called Revolt and it will be the number one name in music,” Diddy said. “We will play what the others are afraid to play. We’re bringing the soul back to music. So everybody check that.”

He also clarified about the Oscar win for the movie he executive produced, “Undefeated,” which he technically didn’t win,

“I want to clarify that T.J. and Daniel are technically the directors of the film. They’re technically the winners,” Diddy explained. “I’m like the Martin Scorsese Jr. So everybody just ran with it like I’m the Oscar winner, but these two young, talented, entrepreneurial directors they’re the guys that [won]…This is called Undefeated, it’s about the North Memphis Tigers. It’s about believing in yourself. It’s about this coach that truly believes in these kids more than they believe in themselves. And then they start to believe in their selves. And it becomes addictive in a sense….It’s truly a human drama piece.”

J. Cole Returns To Hometown, Speaks To Students

J. Cole’s hometown honours him with his own day.

As we previously reported, J. Cole was honoured by his hometown in North Carolina with a J. Cole Day on March 1st, along with Dreamville Weekend this weekend.

Cole returned to Fayetteville and spoke to his old school, Terry Sanford High, where he once played basketball. He told the students who were packed into the gym of the school, “The world is much bigger than Fort Bragg Road; I want you all to go grab your dreams. I don’t get to come back as often as I used to, so when I do I really got to take advantage of it.”

Cole says he’s not rich yet, but he’s taken care of his mom, “I paid all of my bills,” Cole told the students, “I bought some Jordans (shoes), but I mostly saved my money. I just now got my first car. I’m not rich enough yet, but I want to take care of my mom; I don’t want her to workanymore.”

Iggy Azalea & Chip join Grand Hustle

Yesterday we found out about Trae Tha Truth joining T.I.’s Grand Hustle, and today two other new signees have been revealed.

T.I. revealed to MTV that he has signed the first XXL woman freshman, Iggy Azalea. T.I. is also the executive producer on Iggy’s debut album.

The other signee T.I. announced was British rapper Chip (formerly called Chipmunk).

Massive Fight Breaks Out At Young Jeezy Concert

A massive fight erupted at a Young Jeezy performance.

A huge fight broke out at a Young Jeezy concert in Orlando, Florida this weekend.

While Jeezy was performing at BB King Blues Club on Sunday, security asked fans that were too close to the stage to move back. This seems to have been what started the brawl, as some fans refused and and started talking back to security.

Once someone threw a drink at the stage, the real fighting broke out, people started throwing chairs, bottles, and even a mic stand. Jeezy tried to calm everyone down on the loudspeaker, but was not successful. He and his security decided to leave through the back door before getting hurt.

Supposedly Jeezy was “very upset” with the venue, because they should have controlled the crowd better.

Frank Ocean Threatened With Lawsuit Over "American Wedding" & Rep Responds To Ocean About Suit

Frank Ocean could be sued over his song “American Wedding.”

Frank Ocean could be facing a lawsuit if he decides to perform his song “American Wedding” in concert again.

The song, which was originally released on his mixtape “Nostalgia, ultra,” features a rendition of, and samples the Eagles’ “Hotel California.” Although Ocean did not profit off the song because he released it for free, it seems Eagles singer Don Henley was not happy when he found out, and Ocean took to his to Tumblr to comment on it:

“Don henley(’s label—Rhino) is apparently intimidated by my rendition of Hotel California..

He (They) threatened to sue if I perform it again. I think that’s fuckin awesome. I guess if I play it at coachella it’ll cost me a couple hundred racks. If I don’t show up to court, it’ll be a judgement against me & will probably show up on my credit report. Oh well. I try to buy my shit cash anyway. They also asked that I release a statement expressing my admiration for Mr. Henley, along with my assistance pulling it off the web as much as possible. Shit’s weird. Ain’t this guy rich as fuck? Why sue the new guy? I didn’t make a dime off that song. I released it for free. If anything I’m paying homage.”

UPDATE:

A rep for the Eagles has responded to Ocean, here’s what he has to say:

“Frank Ocean did not merely “sample” a portion of the Eagles’ Hotel California; he tookthe whole master track, plus the song’s existing melody, and replaced the lyrics with his own. This is not creative, let alone “intimidating.” It’s illegal. For the record, Don Henley has not threatened or instituted any legal action against Frank Ocean, although the Eagles are now considering whether they should. Any further questions regarding this matter should be directed to Warner Music Group as it is the entity that currently owns the master recording and made the contact with Frank Ocean’s representatives concerning his infringement of the master recording. ” (SOURCE)

Jim Jones Involved In Brawl, Arrested & Maced

TMZ reports that Jim Jones was involved in a brawl last night, which resulted in his arrest. It reportedly took five cops and some mace to subdue him. Read the details below.

Sources close to Jones tell TMZ the rapper was walking through the casino after a party hosted by Diddy at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods. Our sources say a guy, who seemed intoxicated, came up to Jones and started talking smack to him, which Jones tried to ignore.

According to our sources, the guy then hit Jones in the face and Jones fought back in self defense. Then the guy’s friends jumped in … then Jim’s people jumped in … and IT WAS ON!!!

We’re told Jones had no idea who the guy was or what triggered his beef with Jones.

Sources close to Jones say he was arrested and it took the aforementioned cops and mace to bring him in. We’re told he has since bonded out and is headed back home soon.

Jones had no comment. The hotel had no comment as well, and referred us to the Connecticut State Police. No word back from them so far.

Juvenile Issues Statement Concerning Arrest Warrant

Yesterday we reported that Juvenile neglected to pay $160,000 in child support to the mother of his son. Juvenile has issued a statement concerning these allegations. Read it below.

Juvenile Owes $160,000 In Unpaid Child Support, Warrant Issued For His Arrest

TMZ has obtained court papers which say that rapper Juvenile owes more than $160,000 in unpaid child support to Dionne Williams, the mother of his thirteen year-old son.

In Lousiana you can get locked up for being a neglectful father, so Juvenile could be facing jail time since he hasn’t paid his baby mama since December 2006. The judge ruled that if the rapper paid $50k immediately he could avoid being locked up, and catch up on what he owes.

Kanye & Jay-Z "Otis" Maybach Hits The Auction Block

If you recall, Jay-Z and Kanye chopped up a Maybach in their video for “Otis.” Now the $350,000 will hit the auction block at Phillips de Pury auction house for a charity called Save the Children. The Maybach is expected to bring in some serious money for the charity. Find out exactly how much below.

It was a glorious day when the music video for “Otis,” the first single from super-collaboration “Watch the Throne” was released. Yet in a music video starring hip-hop’s biggest giants Jay-Z and Kanye West and directed by indie-darling Spike Jonze… you wouldn’t expect a car to steal the show, but the deconstructed Maybach stole our hearts. The $350,000 vehicle was part Burning Man part bling… a perfect visual for the broken-down American dream aesthetic of the video. According to GalleristNY the car can now be yours, if you are willing to, as Jay says, be spendin’ cheese. The wheels will sell at Phillips de Pury auction house on March 8, with proceeds going to Save the Children. It is expected to sell at around $100,000.

Simon de Pury had this to say in the press release: “Jay Z and Kanye West are towering figures in contemporary culture. They have greatly contributed to the artificial barriers between art, music, fashion and cinema to come down.” (We recommend saying it aloud in his prim Swiss accent.)

J. Cole had a phenomenal 2011. His debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, has gone gold and yielded a platinum single with “Work Out.” Cole, who was once an underground favorite, broadened his fanbase by touring with Rihanna on her Loud Tour.

T.I.
Tip might have gotten off to a late start, since he was released from prison at the very end of September, but the King of the South wasted no time getting back into the swing of things. Immediately after finishing his bid, Tip jumped on some of the hottest songs in rap, creating his own remixes to 2 Chainz’s “Spend It,” Future’s “Magic” and the Throne’s “N—-as in Paris.” Tip capped it all off on New Year’s Day when he dropped his F—- Da City Up mixtape.

Eminem
Last year, Eminem stood as the #1 Hottest MC in the Game. It was hard to deny him after 2010’sRecovery dominated the charts. Em’s lyrical ability is never a question, and in 2011, King Mathers once again proved that very few (if any) can match him on the mic. Rather than churn out the commercial smashes he is known to make, Em took things back to the underground and hooked up with Royce Da 5’9” for their fan-favorite Bad Meets Evil EP Hell: The Sequel.

Young Jeezy
It may have taken the Snowman a minute to put out his long-awaited TM 103: Hustlerz Ambitionalbum, but Jeezy wasn’t just sitting around twiddling his thumbs. While fans salivated for his major-label release, Young fed the streets with a pair of DJ Drama-helmed mixtapes in 2011. (The Real Is Back and The Real Is Back 2). By the time Jeezy finally released his latest installment from his Thug Motivation series in December, he had earned himself a #1 rap album.

2 Chainz
A little artistic reinvention never hurt anybody. The MC formerly known as Tity Boi broke out from his group Playaz Circle and embarked on a solo mission that paid huge dividends. As 2 Chainz, the ATL standout fired up the streets with mixtapes like Codeine Cowboy and T.R.U. Realigion. With street bangers like “Spend It” under his belt, 2 Chainz stood as the poster child for rap’s underground and then cashed in when he signed his major-label deal with Def Jam this month.

Fabolous
With or without an album, Brooklyn’s Fabolous consistently slays his completion. Fab didn’t release his Loso’s Way 2 LP, but he did serve his fans a dose of that raw with his Christmas Day mixtapeThere Is No Competition 3: Death Comes in 3’s. On the tape, Funeral Fab goes in, freestyling over beats made famous by Tyga, Travis Porter and, of course, 2 Chainz. By the end of the 15-track ride, Fab proved that he is eternally hot no matter what his competitors may throw at him.

Andre 3000 Talks On Outkast, His Solo Album

While fans have been waiting awhile for an Outkast reunion, in a recent interview with GQ Andre 3000 dismisses rumours that they are getting back together. On the plus side though, it sounds like Three Stacks is going to be less elusive than he has been.

He tells GQ he is resurrecting his clothing line, “Benjamin Bixby,” shortnening it to just “Bixby,” “It’s going to be real exciting,” Andre says, “I can’t say too much about it, but I can say this year and next year there’s going to be a lot of cool things coming from me fashion-wise. Bixby is one of them. Also musically, sound-wise, and fashion. You’ll see a lot of releases.”

As for a new Outkast album here’s what Andre had to say: “There’s been a lot of talk on the Internet about an OutKast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another OutKast album. There’s a lot of music on the horizon. I’ve been living off the excitement of new artists. I’ve been privileged to have these new artists kind of reach out and grab back and say, “Hey, Andre, we want you on this song.” So I’ve been taking those calls and for the last two years, I’ve been doing collaborations. So these new artists have kind of been keeping me alive. I’ve just really been feeding off of that and this year I think I’m planning to do a solo project. I don’t know when it will come out, but hopefully it’ll come out this year. As far as OutKast, I really don’t know if or when that will happen.”

On a solo album: “The only thing I can really say is I’m going to get back to having fun because that’s what it was all about when I started this in high school—with OutKast—those were like high school dreams. I’m 36 now, so I have grown-man dreams. This album will just be me being myself as normal.”

On the biggest misconception about him: “I’ve never gotten that question. This biggest misconception… that it’s easy for me, I guess, is the biggest misconception. People think you kind of ride on this wave, this non-human wave, and I think that’s kind of wrong to put that on entertainers. But I think that’s a big thing for me. People talk about Andre 3000, they talk about fashion, they talk about film, they talk about music, and it’s almost like they put you in this place, but it’s work. It’s hard work just like anything else.”
